Recognizing the importance of cultural practices, Oshki-Wenjack offers the Elder-on-Campus Program, providing students with a comfortable space for activities like smudging, prayer, and relaxation. Services offered by the elder include:

• Counseling and referrals
• Cultural awareness and traditional teachings
• Opening and closing prayers
• Circle ceremonies
• Aboriginal drumming and singing
• Supplementary teaching relevant to the curriculum
• Incorporation of Indigenous knowledge

Students or faculty may request the elder’s support through the Student Support Worker.
